POOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTRE REGISTRATION BY NEW STUDENTS

 

The Vice Chancellor received and considered a report on the above subject matter. The report indicated poor compliance by new students as regards the compulsory Health Centre registration.

 

I have, therefore, been directed to inform all students that registration with the University Health Centre is compulsory. Registered students would enjoy the priviledge of (i) screening for both communicable and non-communicable diseases and; (ii) accessing medical services in the University Health Centre.

 

Registration formalities are incomplete without the Health Centre registration and the penalty for late registration is Ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) only, payable to the University account.

 

The purpose of this circular is to bring the above to the attention of all students, particularly new students, and to note that the registration exercise will come to an end on Friday, June 7, 2024. Students who have not completed this exercise at the expiration of the deadline will be penalised appropriately.

E DON HAPPEN: University Suspends Student For Proposing To Female On Campus

A 200 level student of department of Computer Science, Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano, Abdullahi Juli Mansur, on Tuesday was suspended for immoral behaviour on campus. Mansur’s suspension follows his public show of affection to a female school mate on campus, an open demonstration of love considered as immoral by the school authority. Mansur was seen on a short video clip that went viral on social media when he attempted to extend a red bouquet to a female student in the school premises. Although the supposed admirer did not to accept the offer of the ‘lover boy’ in public, the mild drama however attracted attention of other students who lighted up the atmosphere with cheers. Doctor recounts how a married woman was sent home 24 hours after arriving NYSC camp after she was caught having an affair. The doctor known as @the_beardedsina took to X to share his experience from his service year at Rivers state camp. He said that he camped at Non-wam Gbam Tai Rivers during which a married woman was caught having sx with a fellow camper. In line with the rules of the NYSC programme of not having sx on camp, the married woman was sent home.
