The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) is the first petroleum university in Africa and sixth in the world. The Institution is located at Ugbomro, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State. We offer highly sought-after courses that adequately equip graduates to provide services to the Oil & gas and allied sectors

We invite application from qualified candidates for admission into the FUPRE School of Sub degree Programmes. We offer pre-degree (basic) and foundation (JUPEB) programmes

PREDEGREE/BASIC PROGRAMME

The basic Programme shall run for one Academic Session beginning from September 2024 to August, 2025. It is an intensive programme to prepare candidates for admission through JAMB into the 100-level degree programmes offered by the University.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

(a) Five (5) Ordinary Level Credit Pass in relevant subjects, to include English Language. Awaiting result is also considered.

(b) Students who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.

(c) Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Twenty Five Thousand Naira only (N25,000.00).

(d) On admission, if any student voluntarily withdraws from the Programme, request for refund of school fee will NOT be entertained.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

ONLINE PAYMENT

Applicants are required to make the payment of ten Thousand Naira only (N10,000.00). only, non-refundable fee via https://subdegree.fupre.edu.ng/

FOUNDATION/JUPEB PROGRAMME

The Programme shall run for one Academic Session beginning from September 2024 to August 2025. It is an intensive programme to prepare candidates for admission into the 200-level degree programme offered by the University, other JUPEB affiliated Universities, and International Universities

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

(a) Five (5) Ordinary Level Credit Pass in relevant subjects, to include English Language. Awaiting result is NOT allowed

(b) Students who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.

(c) Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Fifty Thousand Naira only (N50,000.00).

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO 200 LEVEL:

The course allocated will be determined by the level of performance.

Students will sit for JUPEB Examination at the end of the course and will be able to transit to 200 Level into any of the JUPEB Affiliated Universities both in Nigeria and Abroad.

(a) Successful candidates that will be enrolled in the degree programmes at the 200 level must purchase the Direct Entry JAMB form.

(b) On admission, if any student voluntarily withdraws from the Programme, request for refund of school fee will NOT be entertained.

  • The closing date for the application form is Thursday 12th September, 2024.

DATE FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:

  • A entrance examination for admission into the Programme will hold on Friday, 13th September 2024 by 9:00 am at the FUPRE ICT building.

COMMENCEMENT OF LECTURE:

  • LECTURES START IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ADMISSION EXERCISE.

3. Computer Science: Five ‘O’ level credit pass to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two other Science subjects.

4. Physics: Five ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology plus any other Science subjects.

5. geology: Five ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject from Biology, Geography, Computer Science, Agricultural Science, Data Processing/Mining.

6. geophysics: Five ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subjects.

7. Environmental Management and Toxicology: Five ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. A pass in Physics and a credit pass Geography or Agricultural Science is allowed.

8. SLT: Five ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

9. Statistics: Five ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other Science subjects from Further Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology or Agricultural Science.

E DON HAPPEN: University Suspends Student For Proposing To Female On Campus

A 200 level student of department of Computer Science, Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano, Abdullahi Juli Mansur, on Tuesday was suspended for immoral behaviour on campus. Mansur’s suspension follows his public show of affection to a female school mate on campus, an open demonstration of love considered as immoral by the school authority. Mansur was seen on a short video clip that went viral on social media when he attempted to extend a red bouquet to a female student in the school premises. Although the supposed admirer did not to accept the offer of the ‘lover boy’ in public, the mild drama however attracted attention of other students who lighted up the atmosphere with cheers. Barely 24 hours after the video clip occupied the cyberspace, the management of the private university issued a notice of suspension of the “lover boy” for constituting what they believed was an immoral act on campus. Doctor recounts how a married woman was sent home 24 hours after arriving NYSC camp after she was caught having an affair. The doctor known as @the_beardedsina took to X to share his experience from his service year at Rivers state camp. He said that he camped at Non-wam Gbam Tai Rivers during which a married woman was caught having sx with a fellow camper.
